These animals are important for the health of the forest and provide us with enjoyment when we see them. Reptiles such as snakes and lizards can also be found in McLean. These animals help keep the rodent population under control and are an important part of the food chain. Amphibians such as frogs and salamanders can be found in ponds and streams throughout McLean. These creatures play an important role in controlling the mosquito population and are a food source for many other animals. Fish such as bass and trout can be found in lakes and rivers throughout McLean. These animals provide us with recreation and help to keep the water clean.
